The annual Seend Summer Fete is a great English traditional day out for all the family. The event takes place on the Lye Recreation Field, which together with its Pavilion, is owned and maintained by the community and used by many organisations including Seend Playgroup, Wessex Fuschia Club, WI, Wiltshire Astronomy Group and Future of Football. The Fete is the principal way in which the funds necessary for the maintenance of this wonderful facility are obtained. The charitable trust has an army of volunteers who mow the playing fields, clean, paint and plumb to keep the great facilities going.
